The Internet is packed full of web sites, podcasts, and articles, endlessly talking about the craft and art of storytelling in the medium of cinema. In-depth breakdowns of character arcs, story beats, and plot, are everywhere.
Finding opinions, reviews, testing and unboxing videos of the technology used in film production is nigh impossible.
Well, no, that’s not true at all. There is no lack of gear reviews, endless opinions, and a lack of focus on storytelling. But hey, if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em.
With that, I’m excited to announce the CineTech Show.
The CineTech Show consists of podcasts, articles, and videos about technology used in film and video production. Specifically, stuff I’m personally into. As a Director and Cinematographer, I’m all about the visual aspect of telling stories. What technology to use to enhance an audience’s understanding and character and plot through lighting, composition, and movement.
In addition, what gear gets me through a day faster? Or allows me to move a camera without a huge rigging setup. That’s the type of gear that we here at the CineTech Show will be talking about.
